MaskFit AR app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You can find the app by clicking on the shortcut on Maskfitar.com or search “MaskFit AR” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and then install the app.
The individual(patient) version of the app is compatible with iOS 13+ and Android 6+ mobile devices.
You can create an account by signing up as an individual within the app. Your account will be immediately activated upon successful sign-up and email confirmation.
You can log in by opening the MaskFit AR app, entering your username (email address) and password in the spaces provided, and then tapping on "Log in”.

To reset your password:

  1. Tap on the “Forgot Password” link on the MaskFit AR app Log In page
  2. Type your Email address and tap on “Forgot Password”
  3. You will receive an email from the MaskFit AR team. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

To change your password:

  1. Log in to the MaskFit AR app
  2. Tap Account in the Side Menu
  3. Tap the “Change Password” link on the Account page
  4. Type your current password, new password and confirm your new password
  5. Tap on the “Save” button
Hold the mobile device parallel to the face. Perform the measurement in a well-lit environment and avoid shadows and/or direct lights on the face.
After creating a profile, tap on the floating button on the bottom right corner of the page. Tap on Scan Face. Depending on the type of device you have, you will be directed to a 3D or 2D scanner view. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to scan your face.
You can scan your face as many times as you like by tapping on the Scan Face in the floating button. The app only saves the last scan measurements on the profile.
First, you need to scan your face. After scanning, tap on the “Find Mask” button to see the list of recommended masks. To view a list of a specific type of mask, tap on the menu icon on the top right corner and select the mask type. If you have already scanned your face and have facial measurement data added to your profile, tap on the “Add Mask” link on the homepage. Tap on Existing Measurements and Find Mask to view the Recommended mask list.
If you have added a mask to your profile, you can view a list of all masks that are comparable with your current mask and may fit your face. This is done by tapping on the “See Comparables” button on a specific mask card on the homepage. This list provides a limited number of suggestions based on the existing mask and without considering facial measurement. For a more accurate mask list, we encourage you to see a mask list from the “Add Mask” page.
Deleting a mask can be done by simply tapping on the delete icon on a mask card on the homepage or opening your profile and removing a mask from there.
When your account is linked to an institution, you will receive reminder messages when you are eligible for mask and accessories replenishment, based on your insurance policy. You may also receive promotional messages or information about new products on your Notification page.
First, you need to add the mask you want to order to your profile. After that, simply tap on the Order Mask button to send a request to your health institution. They will review and verify your selection and may contact you if they feel the selected mask is not the right fit for you.
Our algorithms use several parameters to select and rank a recommended mask list for a patient. The parameters used in mask selection and ranking include facial measurement data, clinical data, demographic data, satisfaction matrix, historical mask data, etc.
The MaskFit AR algorithms have been tested in several clinics across Canada since 2016, by many sleep therapists and patients. Additionally, the platform is currently being used and validated by a group of sleep medicine experts in the largest health organization in the United States. We continuously implementing changes and modifying the algorithms to further improve the accuracy of both facial measurements and the mask recommendation process.
The institution version of MaskFit AR is available on iOS 13+ mobile and tablet devices with a TrueDepth camera, and also, on the MaskFit AR web portal. Through the web portal, clinicians are not able to scan patient faces, however, additional tools such as user management, messaging, and analytical tools are only available at the web portal.

There are two types of accounts within an institution: Administrator account and clinicians accounts. After installing the MaskFit AR app, first, you need to create an administrator account by signing up as an institution. After the account is successfully created and activated, the administrator can invite clinicians to use the platform.
You can create an institutional administrator account by signing up as an institution within the app. After the sign-up, you will receive a confirmation email and one of our customer service representatives will contact you for verification and finalizing the sign-up process. Inviting clinicians are done from the MaskFit AR web portal. Your account username and password can be used to login into the web portal. After the log-in, go to the Clinicians tab and enter the email addresses of your clinicians to invite them to use MaskFit AR. Removing a clinician from the institution account can also be done on the same page on the web portal.
Use your username and password to access the web portal. You can find a link to the web portal on our website or by using this link: https://maskfitar.com/login/
Once your account is activated, log in by opening the MaskFit AR app, entering your username (email address) and password in the spaces provided, and then tapping on "Log in”.

To reset your password:

  3. You will receive an email from the MaskFit AR team. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
Contact your institution administrator if you forgot your email address.

Alternatively, you can reset your password from the Settings page on the MaskFit AR web portal.

Create an account by signing up as an institution within the app. One of our customer service representatives will contact you to provide subscription details.
Each plan comes with a certain number of users. To add more users, you need to subscribe to a larger plan. Please contact us and we will be happy to help you update your plan.
Yes, you will still see all your user and patient information after upgrading your plan.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Please contact us and we will help you cancel your subscription.
Your information and data will be securely stored in our system after you cancel your account. You have the option of retrieving your data within 30 days after cancelation by contacting us.
You will receive all invoices to your associated email address.

You can access your patient list on the web portal or within the MaskFit AR app.

APP: The patient list is displayed on the homepage of the app. To find a patient from the list, type the patient’s name in the search bar.

WEB: The patient list is displayed on the Patients tab. Use the search bar to find a patient from the list.

A patient can be added to the system by creating a profile for the patient. This can be done inside the app or from the web portal.

APP: Tap on the “Create Profile” icon located on the top right corner of the home page; after completing the questionnaire, the patient will appear on the patient list.

WEB: Click on the Add Patient button on the Patients tab; after completing the questionnaire, the patient will appear on the patient list.

First, you need to search and find the patient from the patient list.

APP: Find the patient and tap on the patient card to open the patient profile. You can view detailed patient information within the app by tapping on the Open Profile icon on the top right corner of the Patient Information page

WEB: Go to the Patients tab, find the patient, and click on the patient card to open the Patient Information page.

For existing patients who have a profile on the MaskFit AR:

APP: Find the patient, go to the Patient Information page and tap on the Invite link.

WEB: Go to the Patients tab, find the patient, and click on the Invite link.

For new patients who do not have a profile on the institution account:

APP: Go to the side menu, tap on the Invite button, type the patient’s email address, and tap on the Send button.

WEB: Type the patient’s email address in the field provided on the Patients tab and click on Invite.

After inviting a patient, their status changes to Invited. The invitation date is also displayed. To Re-Invite a patient or to send another invitation reminder, tap on the Resend Invite link on the Patient Information page.

Patient information can be edited or updated by both clinicians and patients. For instance, if a patient has a profile on an institution account, and also using the app on their mobile device; both the clinician and the patient can edit or update the information; however, MaskFit AR only stores the most recent updates.

APP: To edit patient information, tap on the Open Profile icon on the top right corner of the Patient Information page. This will open the patient questionnaire where you can edit the information. Click Next after making changes on each page, and tap on Finish on the last page to save the changes.

WEB: Find the patient from the patient list and open profile. Make the changes and click on the Save button.

To set up a reminder message, go to the Patient Information page and tap on the Replenishment Reminder link. You will be redirected to the Reminder Setting page. Set up the reminder cycle and start date and tap on the Save button. After a reminder is successfully set up for a patient, the reminder status on the Patient Information page changes from OFF to ON state.
Only the institution administrator can change the replenishment message. This can be done on the Account tab on the MaskFit AR web portal.
Hold the iPad parallel to the patient’s face. Perform the scan in a well-lit environment and avoid shadows and/or direct lights on the patient's nostrils.
After creating a profile for a patient or finding a patient from the patient list and opening their patient information page, tap on the floating button on the bottom right corner of the page. Tap on Scan Face to go to the 3D scanner view. Follow the instructions displayed on this page to scan the patient’s face.

Only institution admins can send messages to all the patients. This can be done through the MaskFit AR web portal.

MaskFit AR allows institutions to send a pre-populated message to their patients to remind them of their eligibility for mask replenishment. To set up and send a reminder message:

  1. On the Patient Information page, tap on the Replenishment Reminder link
  2. Select the date for sending the first message
  3. Select the message frequency based on the patient’s insurance coverage
  4. Tap on the Save button

After saving, a message is sent to the patient on the selected date and cycle.

The pre-populated replenishment message can only be edited through the MaskFit AR web portal, by the institution admin.

All the order notifications appear on the Notification page located on the Side Menu. The notification shows the date, basic patient information, and the mask they have ordered. Upon receiving the notification, the status of the order is Pending. After finalizing the order process, the user can tap on the Complete button on the notification card to change the status to Completed.
